    The National Operations Senior Manager will be responsible for evaluating current operational processes at the direction of the Managing Director, Operations. The Manager will assist in leading efforts on a variety of operations-related projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness in our operating processes to achieve maximum results. He/she will work closely with Office Managing Partners (OMPs) in all US locations as well as the functional leads in the National Administrative Organization (NAO) to evaluate existing operating processes and recommend best practices in each of these areas. The role will require periodic travel (< 25%) within the US. Best practices will eventually be shared in non-US locations. Once processes are established in the US, the Senior Manager will be involved in training counterparts in non-US locations.

    This position requires diplomacy and tenacity, scheduling time with local office knowledge experts in each of the process areas being evaluated. The Senior Manager will be required to apply innovative thinking to create solutions to support organizational business needs and values. Continuous improvement activity will require evaluating and assessing current approaches, collecting data from all locations, developing Best Practices and reporting findings.


    The National Operations Senior Manager reports to the Managing Director, Global Operations.

    • Financial
      • Profitability analysis by job, by location
      • Billings and collections (AR over 45 days)
      • Inventory
      • Utilization and allocation of resources
    • Vendor Contracts
      • Review current vendor contracts
      • Work with NAO Leads to ensure maximum cost savings are achieved
      • Develop National contracts where applicable
    • Travel
      • Annual review of our American Express Travel contract
      • Review temporary housing options in major US cities
    • Administrative areas
      • Technology
      • HR
      • Recruiting
      • Marketing
      • Legal
      • Learning & Development
      • Compliance
    • General projects
      • Ad hoc as assigned

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field;
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in operations or financial analysis, preferably in a professional services environment;
    • Results oriented;
    • Project management skills;
    • Ability to multi-task successfully;
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
    • Ability to travel within the US;
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel ; 
    • Strong organizational skills;
    • Solid presentation skills;
    • Effective written and verbal skills; and
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
